A: This depends on the thread pitch of your barrel. For a 9mm AR, the common thread size is typically 1/2x28. However, the thread pitch of this muzzle brake is 5/8x24, so it generally will not fit.
Additionally, a brake designed for .30 caliber rifles might not be as effective for a 9mm AR, which has less recoil and a smaller diameter bullet. Ideally, you would want a brake specifically designed for 9mm, as it would be better optimized for the cartridge's characteristics. We recommend using our 9mm muzzle brake, linked below.

Q:Will this Muzzle break work on a 6.5 Creedmoor? And does the blast shield also fit? I have your brake and shield for my 556 and love it. Want to add one to my AR 10-6.5 Creedmoor. Thanks Eric

A: Eric,
Yes it will work on a 6.5 Creedmoor but is not optimized for it. The Blast Shield will also work with the .30 Cal Muzzle Brake.

A: This muzzle device is threaded 5/8x24. If your 5.56/.223 barrel is threaded 5/8x24 it will fit and work with your set up. If it is threaded 1/2x28 this muzzle device will not fit without a thread adapter (which is not recommended).
