What does a Fortis MFG handguard looks like with a specific barrel length and muzzle brake?

This is the #1 questions we get here at Fortis. We make it a point to balance the function and form of our handguards with the aesthetics so your rifle not only performs well, but has the look you want. This is why we've created the Fortis MFG Upper Configurations Catalog. It highlights all of our handguards with popular barrel lengths, while accommodating our specific muzzle brake combinations as well as suppressors and other compensators. Check it out here to download.

How do I properly install a muzzle brake?

When installing a brake (watch our Fortis video on brake installation), wrap a thick plastic bag around your brake and use a box wrench (do not use a crescent wrench) to install your brake. This should eliminate any marring of the finish. For our .223/.556 brakes use a ¾ box wrench & a 13/16th box wrench for our .308/.762 brakes.

Can suppressors fit inside your rails?

Our rails range between 1.34 (REV, 556 Switch & Night Series) to 1.51 (SWITCH 308 Series). While a 1.51” could fit a certain suppressors, be sure there is enough clearance between the rail and suppressor.
